Required Skills
•Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, or related field •Minimum of 5 years post-doctoral experience. •Good understanding of Next Generation Sequencing Data Analysis •Expertise in bulk and Single cell RNAseq, exome or panel sequencing, whole genome sequencing, copy number analyses, gene expression data analyses •Proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: Perl, Python, R, Java and C/C++ •Experience in research in cancer genomics and large-scale sequencing projects •Ability and experience in designing and creating bioinformatics pipelines for cancer genomics •Experience evaluating and comparing different computational pipelines for alignment, variant calling, and functional annotation •Experience and knowledge of different sequencing platforms, such as Illumina, Ion Torrent (Thermo Fisher), Nanopore. •Must have experience working in a core facility or other team-based environment. •Must have excellent computational skills and experience in the analysis and interpretation of high dimensional genomics data including bulk and single cell transcriptomics, chromatin structure and epigenetic analyses. •Experience in supervision and mentoring. •Demonstration of effective communication and excellence in the field through peer reviewed publications. •Must maintain a professional demeanor in communications with internal and external colleagues, trainees, supervisory and administrative staff. •Must be highly organized and effective in the development and supervision of multiple projects •Must be able to work independently, solve problems, and focus on the timely generation of high-quality data.
