Develop algorithms and statistical methods that help to extract meaningful insight from the rich spatial transcriptomics datasets that we generate.
Apply published and self-developed algorithms and statistical methods to describe, summarize, and compare datasets and provide tests that can assess the significance of observed differences across samples, spatial domains, or single cells.
Implement prototypes and help to integrate tools into our web-fronted data-analysis portal.
Document your solutions for customers; eventually publish new methods.
Listen to customers to understand their needs and requirements together with colleagues from other business areas.
Passion for data analysis, data visualization, and information extraction.
PhD degree in a relevant research area (e.g., Computational Biology, Statistics, Bioinformatics).
Profound knowledge of applied statistics in context of biological or medical research.
Proficiency in R and at least one common programming language; additional skills in using databases, version control systems and cloud resources are desirable.
Hands-on experience working with large datasets, ideally gene-expression measurements.
Experience working in an industrial setting is a plus.
You have excellent interpersonal skills.
You are hands-on and someone, who is willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
You are passionate to work in agile, intercultural teams.
You are fluent in English (C1 or higher), fluency in German is a plus.
