R package for determining best model transformation for a dataset?

I haven’t been successful in finding an R package that performs model selection analysis (BIC or AIC) with regards to data transformations – I’ve only seen it for comparison between regular and log-transforming data.

For example, I have species abundance data that I have been manually running transformations like presence/absence, hellinger, total (from vegdist in vegan package) but I figured there must be a module that can determine which transformation best suits the data?

Something like modelFinder (but this is for phylogenetic data and is not an R package has been very useful in determining the best models to use for downstream analysis).
