The bioinformatics workflows typically perform statistical analysis on large amounts of quantitative data to determine the effects of gene loss-of-function mutations on metabolism, blood chemistry, hematology, body composition, splenic immune cells and behavior. Image data and annotations are also used to study temporal and spatial patterns of gene expression detected with a lacZ gene reporter constructs. You will develop and implement new algorithms, software and analytic methods in support of existing and new phenotyping assays, as well as analysis of accumulated data for 1000+ gene knockout experiments. The role requires understanding of complex workflow assembly and biostatistics analysis automation.
