Research Engagement Manager – London

Paramount is working closely with a client who is now moving towards a future of enabling faster, deeper genomic research, bringing genomic healthcare to all who need it. They are currently working on the design, build and implementation of practical and robust service models for their world-leading genomics products and platforms.

The Research Engagement Manager will lead a critical component of these service models – the onboarding and stewardship of new users (academic and industry researchers). You will ensure their customers have an excellent initial experience of interacting with them and working on their platforms.

The Research Engagement Manager will be responsible for:

*Ensuring that the client understands the scientific and analytical needs of retrospective and prospective platform users

*Ensuring users are given access to the most appropriate products within the clients platform ecosystem

*Working with prospective clients platform users to shape / scope their analytics approach in the most appropriate clients platforms

*Developing and delivering a best-in-class onboarding process and experience for their users

*Being a companion to new users, helping them to navigate, learn and use appropriate products throughout their ‘user journey’

*Troubleshooting, and addressing any platform related issues that appear during user onboarding or platform use

Essential skills:

*Experience working as a bioinformatician, preferably in genomics or related field

*Ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders including bioinformaticians

*Ability to simplify highly technical subject matter, and to communicate clearly and succinctly

Desirable skills:

*Academic background in molecular biology or bioinformatics

*Understanding of research data access governance/data privacy regulations and protocols

*Understanding of drug discovery, how genomic analysis can play a role in this and the technical characteristics of genomic research

*Experience of working in a tech / services company, and using Agile methodologies

*Experience in post-sales customer management, analysing and using data to continuously improve a service / product or process
