Job: Bioinformatics – Biotechnology at Global Search Partners Pte Ltd Singapore

With their on-going expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific Region, we are seeking a Bioinformatics Specialist to join their growing R&D team.

Your responsibilties:
● Conduct research aand come up wiith ways to develop and employ computational tools to analyse biological data
● Design and apply bioinformatics algorithms to analyze and interpret data, such as gene & protein expression patterns, interactions, pathways, genetic interactions and sequences for nucleotide and proteins
● Provide statistical and computational tools for biologically based activities such as genetic analysis, measurement of gene expression, and gene function determination
● Create and modify bioinformatics tools where necessary
● Provide advice in the selection and use of bioinformatics tools for analysis of genes
● Provide academic findings, database analysis and oligo design options to wet bench team

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
● A PhD in Biotechnology, Computer Science or other related fields, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in bioinformatics
● Solid expertise in the human genome and other nucleotide databases
● Track record in manipulating publicly accessible genomic, proteomic or post genomic databases
● Excellent computer science and statistics background

● Ability to speak in mandarin due to the high level of interaction with Oriental stakeholders
