Our client is looking to hire a Bioinformatics scientist who has experience with DNAnexus. You will work closely with Bioanalytical scientists to develop relevant workflows and data pipelines (i.e., analyze, understand and translate business requirements to develop workflows in support of genomics analysis on the DNAnexus platform). With the guidance of scientists and IT, the incumbent will be responsible for developing workflows through software development programming using python, WDL, and by leveraging platforms such as AWS and DNAnexus. Minimum requirements include 2+ years of knowledge leveraging the DNAnexus platform and products (e.g. dxToolkit). 3+ years of experience in python programming. 3+ years of experience developing data pipelines for genomics. Ability to develop genomics workflows e.g. using Workflow Description Language (WDL). Awareness of AWS cloud analytics genomics. 2+ years of experience working across IT and business teams in a matrixed environment. 3+ years of knowledge and understanding of Biomarker, Bioanalytical and Genomics Research. The position is WFH (Eastern Time zone) during the Covid crisis however you must live within commutable distance to Rockville, MD (you will eventually work out of the Rockville, MD office).
