Bioinformatics Manager job with Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS)

We are currently looking for a Bioinformatics Manager to join a n exciting multi cultural biotech based in the Cambridge area. As the Bioinformatics Manager you will be responsible for leading and growing a highly skilled bioinformatics team

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Bioinformatics Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Bioinformatics Manager you will Lead, manage, and grow a team of bioinformatics scientists within a highly impactful computational group whose mission is to transform the future of cell therapies

2. Provide expert bioinformatic knowledge and align computational activities within R&D, including internal and external collaborations;

3. Act as a champion and subject matter expert for bioinformatics, driving the development of Mogrify’s bioinformatics roadmap;

4. You and your team will develop scalable computational data analyses systems for omics datasets;

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Bioinformatics Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PHD or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, computational biology or similar study area

2. Proven experience in leading or managing a team

3. Expertise in pipeline development, R, Python, and Linux environments, promoting best practices in scientific computing research
