Required Qualifications / Experience:
- Experience with analysis of high-throughput sequence data
- Software development skills (Python, Rust, R, etc.)
- Appreciation for simple, high quality, maintainable software
- Demonstrated scientific communication skills
- Advanced degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a molecular biology-related field with significant data analysis experience. Computational training with significant biological experience is also acceptable.
- Strong work ethic, emphasizing both efficiency and quality of work
- Accessible evidence of software development history (e.g. Github)
- Passion for learning
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
- Modern web development skills (HTML5, Rails, Vue.js, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Cluster computing
- Publication of original scientific work in relevant journals
- Flexible work schedules may be considered
