Job Application for Intern, Bioinformatics at Scribe Therapeutics

Assisting biologists and bioengineers this role enables building the necessary tools for meeting the new frontier of CRISPR-based therapeutics. Additionally, the role will build understanding and knowledge in data analysis and computational approaches by  gaining insight into high-throughput molecular engineering approaches. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with biologists and bioengineers in the development of tools that advance our therapeutic pipeline
  • Assist in the analysis of transcriptional and other functional genomics datasets
  • Assist with the generation of data visualisations for high-throughput and high-dimensional data 
  • Be trained in use and maintenance of the version-controlled code base

Required Skills and Background:

  • Experience in handling and analyzing next generation sequencing data for genomics or other applications 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research team

Preferred Skills and Background:

  • Enrolled in a PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Biophysics, Genomics or equivalent
  • Basic familiarity with CRISPR technologies and therapeutic approaches
  • Basic knowledge of next generation sequencing platforms and molecular biology of sample preparation
