Define workflows and data management procedures for the effective and efficient collection, integration, storage and analysis of large volumes of complex genomic data sets. Lead the establishment of standard operating procedures, documentation and development of reports. Test, characterize and integrate diverse third party bioinformatics algorithms and the application of statistics, visualization and data mining methods. Provide technical expertise with the scripting and sequences. Develop specialized databases for storing and analyzing genomic data. Create and implement tools to monitor assay or platform performance and perform data analysis. May lead cross training initiatives to assist laboratory staff improve informatics tools and perform data analysis.
