Postdoctoral Scientist in Bioinformatics

RDM Investigative Medicine, Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford

We wish to hire a talented and highly motivated computational biology postdoctoral scientist to investigate the translational implications of mechanisms underlying human tissue T cell immune responses.  Graham Ogg’s group is studying lipid-specific and peptide-specific T cells in the blood and skin in order to define disease pathogenesis and to identify targets for future therapeutic intervention.

The successful applicant will work jointly with Dr Hashem Koohy’s group, specialised in taking systems and quantitative approaches to foster understanding of T cell response and function  and Graham Ogg’s group specialised in skin immunology. The successful candidate will conduct research in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment of an internationally leading research institute. They will benefit from the institute and wider university expertise in immunology, computational biology, machine-learning and big-data science. There will be opportunities to develop new models to explain differential responses of T cell populations during homeostasis, inflammation and cancer.
