SeCore: Sequence-Based HLA Typing Kits

The SeCore Locus Sequencing Kit provides reagents for amplification, purification, and Sanger sequencing of HLA Locus alleles (variants) from DNA.

Using the Sanger sequencing method, SeCore SBT sequencing kits provide bi-directional sequencing for Class I loci: HLA-A (exons 1 – 5), HLA-B (exons 1^a – 5), and HLA-C (exons 1 – 7), and bi-directional sequencing for Class II loci: HLA-DRB1^b (exons 2 – 3), HLA-DQB1 (exons 2 – 3), and HLA-DPB1^c (exons 2 – 4). The uTYPE™ HLA Sequence Analysis Software is used to evaluate the results against the IMGT/HLA database and to help determine the molecular typing.

     a. SeCore B locus kits are unidirectional in exon 1 (1F) only
     b. SeCore DRB1 locus kits contain additional sequencing primers for codon 86
     c. SeCore DPB1 locus kits contain additional sequencing primers for codon 8 & codon 85
