analyze enrichment of SNP in ChIP-seq peaks

Hello,
I have some genetic variants, SNPs, of interest, and some TF ChIP-seq data from cell lines, such as 293T, not primary cells or tissues. Do I overlap these SNPs with the TF ChIP-seq peaks to predict the functions of these SNPs? Given that these ChIP-seq peaks are from cell lines, I am a little concerned about whether I can directly overlap SNPs with peaks.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome!!
