Exploiting the innate and adaptive immune interface for effective cancer therapy (CRUK).

A bioinformatician position is available with Dr Sean Lim’s laboratory within the Antibody and Vaccine Group, Centre for Cancer Immunology (CCI) in Southampton. The Antibody and Vaccine Group has a strong track record in basic and translational immunology including development of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.

We are currently running a programme of research to understand how monoclonal antibodies can be combined to promote effective cancer immunotherapy. In particular, we are interested in studying the effects of agonistic antibodies on T-cell stimulation and myeloid immunity through single-cell sequencing (CITE-seq). The overall aim is to gain sufficient understanding to guide the usage of agonistic antibodies in a clinical setting.

The post holder needs to be dynamic, able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and must have a PhD or be close to completion of a PhD in a bioinformatics, or relevant computational field, or have extensive experience analysing single-cell sequencing data using R.

The position is full-time and fixed term for 1 year in the first instance with the possibility of extension for a further 1 year depending on progress.
