LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The position is centered on dry lab bioinformatics research and involves large-scale analysis of cancer data with a particular focus on proteomics and metabolomics data. It also includes quality control of omics data generated by others. The types of analyses performed are diverse and may include AI, clustering, dimensionality reduction, visualizations, pathway analysis, feature selection, and batch effects analysis, among others. Candidates may expect to gain proficiency in those skills at the conclusion of the training, as well as authorships on multiple papers.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be proficient in programming in at least one language, such as R, Matlab, or Java/Java Script. R is preferred. Basic biology and statistics knowledge are expected, but an advanced understanding of cancer biology is not required. A PhD in any of the basic sciences will be satisfactory.
