Title – Bioinformatics Analyst

  • We have an exciting contract opportunity for a Bioinformatics Analyst with extensive experience in designing and implementing bioinformatics methods as well as analysis and interpretation of various types of omics data to solve biological and clinical problems.
  • The candidate should be familiar with developing and improving genomic data workflows on large NGS datasets, contemporary data visualization methods, as well as writing clean, well-documented, efficient code in R, bash, and python.
  • Candidates should have demonstrated proficiency in a Linux environment and high-performance distributed computing and should be knowledgeable in the areas of statistical inference.
  • Individuals with experience interpreting biological data related to understanding human disease biology, drug target identification, or treatment mechanism of action are preferred.

6. What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification? Biology background in neuroscience, fibrosis, immunology, and/or oncology. Familiarity with NCBI GEO, NCBI SA, EBI ArrayExpress, and EBI ENA.
